It all started in Quito, Ecuador. A group that calls themselves Acción Ortográfica Quito – or ‘Quito Orthographic Action’ – and consists of 2 anonymous graffiti artists, decided to start cleaning up their streets.
Yep, morally conscientious street artists that are improving vandalism by correcting its grammar. Gotta say, I kind of love it.
This actually spurred others into action, with people from multiple countries writing Acción Ortográfica Quito letters, inquiring how to start their own movement. So make sure you keep an eye out for the red spray paint and their official stamp of grammatical approval.
