It’s official, we’ve become the future we used to make fun of…
As of 2017, Girl Scouts are taking Credit Cards
They’ve started using Square, a mobile card reader you attach to your phone. Not only is it disturbingly futuristic to see 7-year-olds accepting credit to sell cookies, but it’s brilliant…in a devious sort of way.
Not many people carry cash around anymore and if they do, it’s usually not more than $20. So if Girl Scouts take credit now, you can no longer turn them away guilt free! You’ll even have an excuse to buy more boxes.
Ok, so you won’t be totally guilt free…at least not to yourself anyway
