Neighbouring homes in Leslieville had to be evacuated after a house under construction was reported swaying Wednesday night.
Emergency crews arrived on scene around 9:30 p.m. at a residence on Leslie Street just south of Queen Street East.
Toronto police said they received reports the home under construction was swaying back and forth.
Fire crews were called in as a precaution and a contractor arrived to assess the building.
No injuries were reported and police remain on scene to secure the area.
Toronto Fire officials said a city inspector and engineer are attempting to determine if the home can be fixed or has to be torn down.
