Right now I THINK this only applies in the United States, but Congress decided it would be a good idea to let internet service providers sell OUR browsing history to whoever wants to buy it.
Max Temkin, creator of ‘Cards Against Humanity’ is pissed that all our browsing history is floating around and up for grabs. The days of even slight internet privacy are dead.
It is a little crazy how quickly it took for the news to come out that our governments are spying on us, and now even our browsing history isn’t safe. I’m glad this crazy guy is planning on doing something in protest. ‘CAH’ are known for their crazy antics, so it wouldn’t surprise me if they go through with it.
I don’t know what’s better? Digging a hole for no good reason or the fact that people actually threw away their money to watch it happen on YouTube. I really hope he gets their browsing history and releases it. I’m sure there are some juicy things in there.
“Congress should know by now that when you come for the Internet, the Internet comes for you.”
Be wary of people trying to Kickstart funds to buy the data. Temkin says to save your money because he will buy the data and release it for free for everyone.
