Level Up Showcase is celebrating Ontario’s best video games in class for 2017. This is a free event and attendees are invited to play games created by students from post-secondary schools across Ontario. You can test out games using the latest technology, including VR, motion sensing and more. “Growing each year, the Level Up Showcase is the biggest Toronto event for players, developers, and recruiters, to get the inside scoop on the future leaders of the game industry.”

“In the world where foundations are shifting, where even the seasons have become less distinct, we mark the start of spring with movement, mobilizing ourselves toward an unseen goal.” Toronto-based DJ, BAMBII, is headlining the event with the support of members from Yes Yes Y’all collective. There will be artist projects featured by dancer-choreographer Zoja Smutny, whose project Rosé Porn will be making its way to the AGO. This will be complimented by hands-on collective art projects, pop-up talks with artists and thinkers, as well as food and drink!

For the fifth Spur Toronto Festival, the topic will be ‘Risk’. Spur is a festival of politics; it engages Canadians to discuss current issues and promote positive change. It features presenters, scientists, artists, writers and speakers that will debate their ideal society. This year, Spur will cover the subjects of Geopolitics, Environment, Energy, Food, Health, Culture, Economics, Security and Education.
