When you find yourself enjoying a nice beverage on #NationalCaesarDay, you are already off to a good start. Top that off with a FREE Tokyo Police Club show, presented by Mott’s Clamato Caesars, and you’re long weekend is off to a great start.
Tokyo Police Club, teaming up with Mott’s Clamato Caesars, brought another raucous performance to The Danforth Music Hall. Without a new album to promote, it was all about the hits at the Danforth. Kicking the night off with a pair of their most recent singles, “Not My Girl” and “My House”, the fans were brought in from the moment they hit the stage. Maybe it had something to do with those free caesars, but mostly it was just TPC giving it their all for the fans!
Dave Monks’ vocals were soaring last night, and The Danforth Music Hall perfectly helped to accentuate all of the right notes. TPC was sure to give the fans more than they wanted, from a set list perspective, playing “Nature of the Experiment”, “Wait Up (Boots of Danger)”, “Tessellate”, and even opted to play all three parts of “Argentina”, to much fanfare. For fans new and old, there was something for everyone last night!
No strangers to playing the Toronto-scene, it is more a question of ‘where’ Tokyo Police Club will play next, as opposed to ‘when’, but let’s hope we get to hear from these Newmarket-natives real soon.
