July 21st was a different day of work for Austin Dunn at an International airport in Florida. Dunn was working with a couple other ground workers, getting the airliner pushed back and ready for departure.
Most airports have a ground stop during lightning storms so this very incident doesn’t happen. For Dunn, it did. Watch as the tail of the Embraer gets hit by lightning. The current then travels through the plane and out through Dunn. He falls backwards. The video ends.
“Dunn was just released from the hospital, nearly two weeks after the traumatic incident.
Dunn has third-degree burns all over his body, but he is recovering as best as he can.”
