Toni Cornell, daughter of the late-great singer Chris Cornell, was on Good Morning America this week and gave a touching tribute to her father. She was joined by OneRepublic to sing Leonard Cohen’s classic, “Hallelujah”. Check out the video below…
Toni, who is only 12, was honoured to be able to pay tribute to her dad.
“It’s an honor to perform this for my dad and Chester and to sing for them,” she said.
“Chester sang this at Chris’ funeral, and this is arguably one of the greatest songs written in the last 50 years,” OneRepublic’s singer Ryan Tedder said. “It’s a very special song to us, and I think to most people and especially to Toni [Cornell] as well.”
Chris Cornell passed away earlier this year, and this is just one of the many tributes to one of the greatest frontman in modern music.
Needless to say, this one is extra special.
