Come Monday, the first total eclipse of the sun since 1979 will race across North America. Having seen the last one literally from my backyard (and yes, it was exactly the kind of spiritual experience eclipse-watchers claim it is), I wish I could be part of this one. Where I live, I’ll get a partial eclipse of somewhere around 70%. Interesting, but it doesn’t even come close to what you see during those minutes of totality.
All this sounds like an opportunity to create a playlist for the occasion. Here’s mine (and yes, I left out Bonnie Tyler’s “Total Eclipse of the Heart.” That’s too easy. And like the title of the post says, this is a rock-oriented eclipse playlist.)
Any additional suggestions? Let me know in the comments.
