There is a new dating app in town and it’s nothing like the others.
Well, there are probably still some weirdos and people who aren’t necessarily looking for love. But still.
This new app is for those friends of yours who are always trying to set you up with their new coworker/classmate/partner’s sibling/stranger they spoke to in a Tim Hortons line up yesterday/etc.
These self-proclaimed “cupids” are everywhere and Hinge Matchmaker is here to finally recognize their needs. It’s for you and your friends to set one another up with people you find fitting!
The user (your matchmaking friend Karen) will have potential matches suggested to her among her own Facebook friends, which then allows Karen to send an icebreaker message to you and some lucky guy/girl.
Bragging rights are almost as good as #findinglove for your friend.
The founder of Hinge, Justin McLeod, told Tech Crunch: “We found a lot of people who felt like they missed out on the dating app craze wanted to be able to participate in some way. A lot of times, people will pull out their friend’s phone and swipe for them on other apps.”
