It’s what nobody asked for and what nobody knew they wanted, but it’s definitely something great. Liam Gallagher is taking on the role of music critic.
We all know what Liam Gallagher is like; he’s the type of guy who will call his brother a nipple on Twitter, taunt him live on TV, or even walk off stage after three songs for no apparent reason at all. But just in case you need a reminder, here’s a video of him making tea.
Now that you’re in the right frame of mind, you can watch Liam review some current music, including “Cellophane” by Metz, “Fuck Ugly God” by Ugly God, “Lady Powers” by Vera Blue and “Medication” by Damien Marley.
You have to admit, he was right on with Metz, eh? Just a bunch of nerds from Toronto who happen to also play great music. We actually had the chance to chat with Metz when they played their 2-night album release party for Strange Peace at Lee’s Palace. The video is part of a series called Home and Native Bands, where we hang out with up and coming and just plain awesome Canadian bands. You can watch our interview with Metz below.
Also, If you checked out the description under Liam’s critique video, it reads, “Our new music critic, Liam Gallagher reviews new music in his debut installment of Music Critic.” So hopefully there’s more to come?? It sure looks like he was getting comfortable in that chair.
