Toronto’s own, The Beaches, released their record Late Show today! Jordan Miller (bass guitar and vocals), Kylie Miller (guitar), Eliza Enman McDaniel (drums), and Leandra Earl (keys) make up this all-female indie rock group. They draw their influences from bands such as Haim, Nirvana, The Strokes, FIDLAR, and Blondie.
This new album is packed with just the right balance of hook, flare and rock n roll angst. These hardcore ladies are Death From Above‘s special guests on their North American tour, so be sure to check them out when they come to a town near you. They’ve got two Toronto dates at The Phoenix Concert Theatre on December 1st and 2nd (I’d recommend getting your tickets sooner rather than later).
To promote their new album, The Beaches stopped by our studio to perform a few tunes off Late Show, including their latest single “Money”. You can watch their interview with Carly where they talk more about making the album and their…fashion choices?
We also got some great pictures from their performance which you can peruse below.
You should definitely watch some of their music videos as well – they’ve found their unique style, and they are owning it.
