A private members bill regarding auto insurance has been shot down in Queens Park.
NDP MPP, Jagmeet Singh put forward a private members bill to ban insurance companies from charging drivers with higher premiums based on their area code.
Singh says that insurance costs should be determined by an individual's driving record rather than their place of residence.
However, the bill did not go through.
