With more and more tourists coming into the city over the holidays, the city is looking for feedback on shopping hours.
Currently, a by-law in place forbids retailers from opening up during designated holidays, unless they are in a specific tourist area.
The public is being asked to provide feedback for the city to digest, which may lead to a break or modification of the by-law itself.
Consultations will take place at the following times and places:
• Monday, June 18 - 7 to 9 p.m. North York Civic Centre, 5100 Yonge St., Council Chamber
•Tuesday, June 19 - 7 to 9 p.m. Scarborough Civic Centre, 150 Borough Dr., Council Chamber
•Wednesday, June 20 - 7 to 9 p.m. East York Civic Centre, 850 Coxwell Ave., Council Chamber
•Thursday, June 21 - 7 to 9 p.m. Etobicoke Civic Centre, 399 The West Mall, Council Chamber
•Monday, June 25 - 7 to 9 p.m. Toronto City Hall, 100 Queen St. W., Rotunda
Information can be found by visiting the city's website.
