The annual rainbow flag raising ceremony for this year's Pride Festival takes place Monday at City Hall.
Mayor Rob Ford won't be attending the noon hour event. . He says he has other matters to attend to but has not revealed what the commitment is.
Councillor Kristyn Wong-Tam will be on hand.
The mayor has already announced he won't be going to the parade because like last year, that's when he takes his annual family cottage trip.
