The O.P.P. are launching a criminal investigation into the mall collapse in Elliot Lake.
Police say new evidence has prompted the investigation, although officials wont confirm what this evidence is.
The O.P.P are asking anyone with information on what may have lead lead to the mall's deterioration to step forward.
The new investigation is on to pf the probes being done by the province's Chief Coroner and the Ministry of Labour.
