2011-2012 saw a banner year for the LCBO.
Craft breweries led the way in sales at the Crown corporation, up by more than 45%, with consumers choosing to "go local" rather than buy up the brand names.
Ontario VQA wine is also up, with sales reaching $106 million, or 9%.
Between the two, along with premium wine and spirit sales, the LCBO recorded in increase of almost 5%, or $4.71 billion last year.
The sales have allowed the LCBO to grow, with a massive expansion announced by the Ontario government.
70 new stores will pop up over the next two years, increasing almost 20 thousand linear feet of shelf space, while adding jobs to the economy.
