Reports suggest that the Toronto City Manager sent out warnings to all major staffers and city services to prepare for a spending freeze for the 2013 budget.
Claiming that there is a 200 million dollar gap between the cities revenue and costs, and that the freeze is just a starting point for cuts to come.
Councilor Mike Del Grande earlier in the week requested a spending freeze on the Toronto Police budget as the first step of budget planning for 2013 begins.
