Premiere Date Set For Documentary On Tool Frontman
LaunchDaily
12/15/2009

The upcoming documentary on Tool frontman Maynard James Keenan's winemaking business, called Blood Into Wine: The Arizona Stronghold, will premiere at the W Hotel in Scottsdale, Arizona on February 19th at 7:00 p.m. The movie follows Keenan's and partner Eric Glomski's quest to produce wine in the tough Arizona landscape, while also giving a deeper look than ever before at the life of the reclusive Tool, A Perfect Circle and Puscifer singer. The film's co-director, Ryan Page, said, "Maynard is as mysterious and complex as rumored so we don't know exactly why he allowed our cameras and questions into his world for the winemaking year of 2009."

Keenan's band Puscifer may perform a few songs at the movie's premiere, but that has not been confirmed.

Keenan told us that there will be other events going on around the release of the movie as well: "We're planning a Puscifer tour in late February throughout March -- East Coast run, Midwest, East Coast -- and that is to coincide with the release of that film. I believe we're debuting it across the country late February, and we're gonna kind of release the film, let people know what's possible locally."

Nationwide screenings of the movie will be announced shortly with a DVD release coming in spring 2010.

Puscifer recently completed its first full-length tour, mostly on the West Coast. The act made its live debut earlier this year with a three-night stand in Las Vegas.
