Green Day has issued a brief 30-second trailer for its upcoming album, Uno!, which arrives on September 25th. The disc is the first in a trilogy of new CDs, with Dos! set for release on November 13th and Tre!bringing it all to a close on January 15th, 2013. Along with an excerpt of music and the flash of several song titles, the new teaser also provides a quick glimpse of the record's cover art.
Uno!, Dos! and Tre! will follow up Green Day's 2009 studio effort, 21st Century Breakdown.
Green Day has hinted that there is a storyline running through all three of the upcoming records, but has not confirmed whether these are concept albums in the vein of 21st Century Breakdown or 2004's American Idiot.
Some of the working song titles that flash by in the video include "Nuclear Family," "Stay The Night," "Carpe Diem," "Let Yourself Go," "Fell For You," "Crushing Bastards," "Trouble Maker," and "Kill The DJ."
Green Day is scheduled to play festivals in Japan and Europe this summer, and is also confirmed to appear at the Voodoo Music Experience in New Orleans this October, but so far has not revealed any other tour plans.
A surprise show could be in the works -- frontman Billie Joe Armstrong tweeted on Wednesday (June 15th), "Green Day Surprise rock n roll sex party show meaning 'secret show' coming soon in LA AREA. Stay tuned!"
