The Killers debuted four new songs on Thursday night (July 19th) at a low-key gig in Asheville, North Carolina, according to Consequence Of Sound. The show, the group's first public performance since announcing the upcoming release of their new album, served as a warm-up for the quartet's appearance at this past weekend's Firefly Music Festival in Dover, Delaware on Saturday (July 21st). All four songs were presumably taken from the new disc, Battle Born, which is set to arrive on September 18th.
The four songs that the band played were new single "Runaways," "Miss Atomic Bomb," "Flesh And Bones" and "Rising Tide."
Battle Born is the Killers' fourth studio album and follows up their 2008 effort, Day & Age. "Runaways" was released on iTunes last Tuesday (July 17th).
This is the first album since the group announced they would be taking a short hiatus at the start of 2010.
