M83 will kick off a North American tour this Wednesday (August 1st) in Philadelphia, with dates scheduled into September and October. The act, led by founder and French musician Anthony Gonzales, is hitting the road in support of its latest album, a double CD effort called Hurry Up, We're Dreaming. The trek will include stops at numerous festivals, including Lollapalooza, FYF Fest, Bumbershoot and Austin City Limits.
"Outro," the closing track on Hurry Up, We're Dreaming, can be heard in the trailer for Cloud Atlas, which debuted online last week.
The film is set for release on October 26th and is directed by siblings Andy and Lana Wachowski, creators of The Matrix films, along with Tom Tykwer. The all-star cast includes Tom Hanks andHalle Berry.
Gonzalez is also set to score the film Oblivion, a new science fiction epic starring Tom Cruise.
The latest single from Hurry Up, We're Dreaming, "Midnight City," is a Top Five hit at Modern Rock radio. The next single is called "Reunion."
