COMPETITION RULES AND REGULATIONS
THE EDGE PRESENTS “FIND TODD A FIANCEE”
1. THE COMPETITION AND THE COMPETITION PERIOD
The Edge presents “FIND TODD A FIANCÉE” (the “Competition”) commences at 7:15am on January 14, 2008 and concludes at 6:00pm on July 12, 2008 (the “Competition Period”).

3. ELIGIBITY
The Competition is open to residents of Ontario who have attained the age of eighteen (18), but excluding employees and directors of CFNY-FM (“102.1 The Edge”), Corus Entertainment Inc. (“Corus”), any affiliate (as defined in the Canada Business Corporations Act) of 102.1 The Edge or Corus (the “Affiliates”), employees, directors, and officers of their respective advertising and promotional agencies, as well as family members of any of the foregoing.
4. HOW TO ENTER AND WIN
(a) PHASE I - ENTRY –– 7:15am January 14 – 5:00pm January 27, 2008
During Phase I, listeners may enter by visiting the 102.1 The Edge studios at 228 Yonge Street, Toronto, Ontario (the “Studio”) during studio hours (see www.edge.ca), have their photograph taken** and fill out a brief questionnaire. All photos and questionnaires will be posted at www.edge.ca on January 29, 2008.
**Prior to being photographed, entrants must sign a standard form document acknowledging that 102.1 The Edge, Corus and the Affiliates (collectively, the “Company”) own all rights in the photograph created in connection with the Competition (the “Material”) and that the Company is therefore entitled to use the Material in any way and all manner and media now known and hereafter created throughout the world in perpetuity without limitation, and in particular, on the Company websites.
(b) PHASE II – INSIDE EDGE VOTE/MORNING SHOW SELECTION – 8:00am January 29 – 10:00am February 7, 2008
During Phase II, Inside Edge members will be invited to visit www.edge.ca and vote for the entrant they believe would make the best “fiancé” for Todd. Inside Edge registration information can be found at www.edge.ca. The eight (8) entrants that receive the greatest number of online votes will continue to Phase III, along with an additional eight (8) entrants will be selected by the members of Dean Blundell Show (the “Quarter-finalists”). The sixteen (16) Quarter-finalists will be announced on the morning of February 8, 2008 on the Dean Blundell Show. The sixteen (16) Quarter-finalists will need to come to the Edge Studio on February 8, 2008 before 9:30pm to participate in a video interview for www.edge.ca. Those unable to attend will forfeit their entry, and the entrant with the next highest number of votes will be selected.
(c) PHASE III – THE SWEET 16 – 7:00am February 8 – 10:00am February 29, 2008
All Quarter-finalists will be required to participate in at least one (1) of a series of challenges at the Studio from February 8, 2008 through February 28, 2008. One challenge between two (2) Quarter-finalists will take place each Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings during Phase III. Details of each challenge will be revealed to the Quarter-finalists on the morning of the challenge. Competition judges will award points to each Quarter-finalist based on his/her performance. The Quarter-finalist who acquires the highest number of points in the challenge will move on to the Phase IV (the “Semi-finalists”). In the event of a tie, one (1) further challenge will be assigned. The Semi-finalists be announced and contacted by phone during the Dean Blundell Show on February 29, 2008. The eight (8) Semi-finalists must attend at Edge Studio before February 29, 2008 at 9:30pm to participate in a video interview for www.edge.ca. Those unable to attend will forfeit their entry and the entrant with the next highest number of votes will be selected.
(d) PHASE IV – THE ELITE 8 – 7:00am April 17 – 11:00pm June 15, 2008
Each Semi-finalist will be required to cohabitate with Todd during for one (1) of the following weeks:
- Monday April 21 to Sunday April 27, 2008
- Monday April 28 to Sunday May 4, 2008
- Monday May 5 to Sunday May 11, 2008
- Monday May 12 to Sunday May 18, 2008
- Monday May 18 to Sunday May 25, 2008
- Monday May 26 to Sunday June 1, 2008
- Monday June 2 to Sunday June 8, 2008
- Monday June 9 to Sunday June 15, 2008
Weeks will be assigned by random draw on April 17, 2008, at performed live on 102.1 The Edge and administered by The Dean Blundell Show. Semi-finalists must be present for the random draw. During their week of cohabitation, each Semi-finalist (and Todd) will be required to write a daily blog to be posted at www.edge.ca and submit pictures and video taken***.
***By submitting a blog entry, photograph or videotape during Phase IV (the “Semi-finalist Material”), all Semi-finalists grant to the Company a non-exclusive license to use the Semi-finalist Material in connection with the with the Competition and that the Company is therefore entitled to use the Semi-finalist Material in any way and all manner and media now known and hereafter created throughout the world in perpetuity without limitation, and in particular, on the Company websites.
(e) PHASE V – THE FINAL FOUR – 7:00am June 24 – 10:00am July 10, 2008
During the morning of Tuesday June 24, 2008 Todd and the Dean Blundell Show will select and announce the name of the four Semi-finalists that will be invited to Edgefest 2008 on July 12, 2008 (the “Finalists”). Each entrant will be contacted with at least twenty-four (24) hours notice to participate in an on-air interview sometime between June 26, 2008 and July 10, 2008. Those unable to attend will forfeit their entry.
(f) PHASE VI –FINAL SELECTION @ EDGEFEST – 12:00pm – 6:00 p.m July 12, 2008
During Edgefest 2008 and live on a 102.1 The Edge broadcast, the four (4) Finalists will join Todd on stage for his selection of the Finalist to become his fiancée (the “Winner”). The Winner will receive $10,000 and a diamond ring.
5. LIMITATION ON NUMBER OF ENTRIES PERMITTED
Only one entry per person per household is permitted. Multiple entries will be discarded. Entries are subject to verification and will be declared invalid if they are reproduced, falsified, altered or tampered with in any way.
6. CHANCES OF WINNING
Chances of winning depend on the total number of registered Competition entrants.
7. EXPENSES
Entrants are responsible for all incidental expenses incurred in connection with participating in the Competition, save and except the cost of accommodation during Phase IV (the “Expenses”). All entrants understand that he or she may not seek reimbursement for the Expenses from 102.1 The Edge, Corus, the Affiliates or their respective advertising and promotional agencies.
8. DECLARATION AND RELEASE OF GRAND PRIZE WINNER
By entering the Competition, each entrant hereby confirms that:
-she has read, understood and accepted these Rules and Regulations;
-she understands that entering the Competition may involve danger and/or exposure to risks and hazards of both man-made and natural origin, whether arising from foreseeable or unforeseeable human error and negligence, and that, as a result, he or she may suffer damage to personal property, serious personal injury, illness or even death;
-she nevertheless freely and voluntarily agrees and does hereby assume any and all risks of personal injury, illness, death arising out of or connected with her participation in and winning the Competition;
- she releases 102.1 The Edge, Corus, the Affiliates, Navhar Properties Inc. and all of their directors, officers, employees, agents as well as their respective advertising and promotional agencies (collectively, the “Releasees”) from any and all liability arising in connection with participation in the Competition, including, without limitation, any financial, legal or moral responsibility or loss or personal injury including death or damage to or loss of property suffered or incurred or arising from participating in the Competition whether suffered by the entrant or by her heirs, administrators, personal representatives or executors, and notwithstanding that such injuries or losses may have been caused solely or partly by any act, omission, negligence or gross negligence of any or all of the Releasees.
9. DECISION OF JUDGES IS FINAL
The decision of the Competition judges is final. Entrants who are unable to participate in any Phase of the Competition will be disqualified and judges reserve the right to select another entrant in her place.
10. SUBSTITUTION OR CHANGE TO THE COMPETITION
102.1 The Edge, Corus, and their respective advertising and promotional agencies reserve the right to substitute or change any aspect of the Competition or its rules or terminate or withdraw the Competition at any time, without prior notice.
11. OWNERSHIP OF ENTRIES
All entries shall become the property of 102.1 The Edge, Corus, and their advertising and promotional agencies. The Releasees assume no responsibility for lost, stolen, destroyed or otherwise indecipherable entries due to any failure or technical malfunction of the telephone network, on-line computer systems of equipment, servers, access providers, software, poor reception, technical problems, failure of any email or submission or due to any other reason regardless of cause.
12. CONSENT TO USE OF PERSONALITY
By entering the Competition, each entrant consents to the use of her name, city of residence, photograph, voice, likeness, image or any other aspect of her personality for any publicity and programming purposes, commercial or otherwise, in all media used by 102.1 The Edge, Corus, the promoters and their advertising and promotional agencies, without any payment or compensation. All entrants further agree that her audio reaction may be used for on-air promotional purposes. The entrants understand and acknowledge that 102.1 the Edge may contact him or her on-air without prior knowledge as a result of her participation in the Competition.
13. CONSENT TO COLLECTION AND USE OF PERSONAL INFORMATION
By entering the Competition and voluntarily providing personal information including, but not limited to, name, address, city, email address, home and office telephone numbers (the “Registrant Information”), each Competition entrant grants permission to 102.1 the Edge and Corus to the collection and use of the Registrant Information for the exclusive purpose of administering the Competition. No correspondence will take place between 102.1 the Edge, Corus and the entrants except in connection with the Competition.

These rules and regulations are available online at www.edge.ca, The 102.1 the Edge studios and at Corus Radio offices at 1 Dundas Street West, 16th Floor, Toronto.
15. COMPLIANCE WITH COMPETITION RULES
All entrants agree to abide by the Competition Rules, which are subject to change at the sole discretion of 102.1 The Edge, and Corus.
16. COMPLIANCE WITH LAWS
This Competition is void where prohibited by law, and is subject to all federal, provincial, territorial and municipal laws and regulations of Canada and of each province, territory and municipality of Canada, respectively.
