Well, my favourite memory is not a good one musically. Actually, some would say it was the WORST Edgefest. That year, I believe the late great Jeff Healey was headlining and we had such supporting stars as Carole Pope and ....enough said. Me and a bud went up to meet up with some other friends but we never did find them. Have a few beers, walked around, you know routine. Ended up at the beer tent at the top of the hill at the old, and very muched missed, Molson Park where I bumped into my sister and new new beau. Well, this was my first meeting with him and he was definitely in a serious, suck up mode. Needless to say, me and my bud pretty much drank for free, and often, that night. Never did find our crew. In fact, we cut out early, with the only band we actually saw was Jeff Healey as we walked by and waved bye bye. And, um, ah, yes, we didn't drink and drive, of course, uh uh, no......We cabbed it back to Kitchener, yeah, that's the ticket. Best Edgefest musically? Can't remember (as I often don't) all the bands but I think Tool was the headliner........AWESOME! Thornley was there as well and were rockin'.

Best bands: Billy Talent, Metric, Alexisonfire, Cancer Bats, K'Os, Our Lady Peace, Jets Overhead...all Canadian, love them, but I still wish that I saw Radiohead playing the side stage. I hope it doesn't rain this year. I'm glad it's one day, not two.

Josie, I went to Edgefest in Highschool, and I think it may have been the LAST Edgefest in Barrie.. Either way, I remember I got right up to the front when The Hip were on (They headlined, obv.) Gord had a bead of sweat ftrom his forehead drip onto my arm. My life was complete. THE HIP for #1 !!

Young the Giant. Their new album is solid but you should also check out their first CD as the Jakes (called Shake My Hand). It's AMAZING! Plus, I saw them play last September and they are spectacular live.
