To be eligible for a 2012 CASBY Music Award, material must have been released between July 1 2011 and June 31, 2012. Winners will be announced Thursday, September 27 during the CASBY Music Awards at the Sound Academy in Toronto.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The only way to attend the show is to win tickets by listening to 102.1 the Edge, or voting at edge.ca.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;CASBY performances will be broadcast live throughout the night on 102.1 the Edge. The entire show will be video streamed live on edge.ca.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Through initiatives like the CASBYs, as well as Edgefest and the edge Sugar Beach Sessions, 102.1 the Edge has earned a reputation as a major force in Canadian talent development, contributing to the commercial breakthrough of some of Canada&amp;rsquo;s most influential artists, including the Metric, City And Colour,&amp;nbsp; Sum 41, USS, Bedouin Soundclash, Arkells, Tokyo Police Club &amp;amp; The Tragically Hip.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The CASBY Music Awards began in 1981 as an alternative to the Juno Awards and were originally called the U-Knows.
