Scot Turner was a DJ on CFNY 102.1 from 1984 to 1992. Scot hosted various on air shifts and was the Director Of Foreground, Enrichment & Mosaic Programming for CFNY. In that role he created and hosted or co-hosted the feature shows: Live In Toronto, The Thursday 30, Sunday Music Magazine, Beats Per Minute (BPM), Friday Night High and Nightly Music Magazine. Scot also was a club DJ and host various CFNY nights at Club Focus, Club Z, Empire Club, Twilight Zone, Domino Club & more. It was Scot, through research on the history of CFNY, who suggested a 10th Anniversary party for the station in July 1977 which sparked the long running concert event Edgefest.
Inspired by the new dance, hip hop, techno, house and electronic music taking shape in the early 90’s – Scot went on to create and was the lead architect and Program Director behind the legendary and influential radio station Energy 108.
Scot currently is Brand Director for Corus Entertainment radio stations 91.5 The Beat & 107.5 Davefm in Kitchener Ontario.
